Nov 2013
early daylight filterss in muffled and lazy.
you,
sleep-clogged and slipping back into a dream stifle a yawn. making my sleepy heart
wake and stir
restless and closed eyes, squinting up at you
my perpetual anxiety of nightmares
dissipates
and I bury my head farther
hiding my mind in your steady
inhales and exhales
a protection from the bright sun. morning
glories
are found blooming between
us
