Nov 2013
I can smell you on my clothes
and taste you on my lips
I will never forget the feel
of your hands on my hips
I remember how you smiled
and you looked so filled with light
But i also remember your sadness
that stole fragments from your life
the sadness took you from me
and blackened your beautiful heart
It was stronger than my voice
Calling out to you from the dark
the sadness finally ended
but so did your gasps for breath
I will love you better now
but it does not reverse your death.
