My Roommate’s Roommate
With an exam tomorrow he studies,
Learning now how much he does not know.
Broke and failing he smiles.
Distinguished with a gut of cheap beer.
This really was about my college roommate freshman year, but it would have come across as mean spirited.
By putting myself into that role I can paint the situation as amusing, and try to cause readers to smile.
