Originally written with 'hungry felines' instead of 'eager canines' but I am a dog person with a heeler that catches chipmunks and still tries to catch squirrels and is optimistic she will get one someday.  

Note - she had always dropped the chipmunk when I tell her to 'DROP IT' in my stern pet dad voice.
