Not every wound bleeds
Not every scar heals
Not everyone praying
Drops to the floor and then kneels
Not all prayers get answered
There’s no relief from the strain
The true driving force
That weighs heavily on brains
So what’s the solution?
Is peace just a dream?
Conquering enemies
The conundrum, extreme
Or is the answer forthcoming
Lift our heads to the skies
Hoping that the rain
Wipes the tears from our eyes
