Very close---
Very close to touch the sun.
Very close to lay on clouds.
Since summer had begun,
I've been working all the time.
And now, very close, I stop.
Like if it wasn't worth a shot.
That fear of falling comes to mind.
The fact of knowing I will fall.
Maybe I'm afraid of what I'll find.
But I'm afraid of fear above all.
He will laugh at my ****** knees,
With a smirk he would scold me.
And I wouldn't be able to say,
"I really didn't want it, anyway."
I really want it. It'll hurt more when it doesn't work out. But I'm done hiding. I win that fear today.
