Retinas burn
red

Pupils, opaque,
retract to pins
then return again
with darkness

Empty eyes sparkle
in the moonlight

Overflowing
hot yet cold stream
down a set of cheeks
like an unattended running sink

Translucent clouds roll in
to obscure sight

Almost home
Take off the tears and
put on that smile
;)
