Do Not Bear Hatred
Do not bear hatred, though the wrong be great,
For God perceives all deeds both love and hate.
Leave judgment to the One whose scales are true,
Who rights all sins when justice falls due.
And pity him who walks the path of wrong,
For tyrants dance, but not for very long.
They sleep in joy, yet wake in dread and pain
Oppressionβs wine returns in bitter rain.
