A shell
Magic overcoat of ignorance
Bought on the illusion
Of warmth and solace.
Comfort to my spirit
So I thought.
Once armor to protect
Now captive and chained.
Downward spiral
As gravity pulls me.
Weighting my soul
Hardening my spirit.
No freedom to unburden
My flesh, my shell.
Always hiding the true,
The real, my soul.
Now unmasked from the torture
Of my self made fight.
Freedom comes-
Unburdened and Light!
