He wore a mask,
and controlled the narrative.
His charm tried to pull her under,
but his eyes gave him away
she saw the lie.
She built her walls for a reason;
he never touched her heart.
She let him wear the mask,
and watched him play the part.
She’s not angry
just disappointed.
He never had to lie.
She would have loved
the man beneath the mask.
