Baby call the preacher, I think I'm gonna break
I got so much that I need to tell
You walked me through the Garden of Eden
And you dragged me straight down to Hell
Played me like your Daddy's card deck
Then you left me with an empty hand
Always saying you'll be mine forever
But here I stand alone again

Broken promises the lies we say
Took all my money and you left me here to pay
Broken promises the games we play
This could be the start  of a new day

Take me to the doctor,  I think I'm falling apart
Got an aching heart and splitting head
Bought you a new teddy for Christmas
Now I wake up with myself in bed
Believing all those stories you told me
About a big whit house and picket fence
Seeing is believing, talking is deceiving
Now this starts to make some sense

Broken promises the lies we say
Took all my money and you left me here to pay
Broken promises the games we play
This could be the start  of a new age

You said you needed to find yourself
I never knew you were lost
Now you tell me I'm not enough
Well, Baby kiss off

Broken promises the lies we say
Took all my money and you left me here to pay
Broken promises the American way
This could be the start  of a new age
