May 19
you should've seen the moon last night,
but you, you left too soon, was it too bright?
where were you, when the rain splattered on our skins?
you planted trees here once, have you visited them since?
I watched the moon last night, from under a tree
the rain would not cease, but your tree kept me safe
you seemed lonely out in the rain. I couldn't leave you be
so last night, I planted my own tree beside your grave
