I walked a path I’ve never known,
Through whispering trees and cobblestone.
A house appeared—then slipped from sight,
Its windows blinking out the night.

The door creaked open, no one near,
Yet every room was filled with fear.
A mirror smiled without my face—
Then vanished, leaving not a trace.
