I was wrong by charging your tired heart
You need your healing and even If I need to be afar
I Allowed my yearning drown your song,
When all you needed was space all along.

But loving you woke something deep in me,
A gentler heart, a different type of empathy.
I felt more human, more soul, more sky,
Touched by a love that only God knows how to try.

I’ll wait for your kisses, your hugs, your light,
Not out of promise, but when you think is right.
Because my mouth was shaped to say your name.
And my arms were molded to hold your flame.

No contract binds, no heartless chain,
Only the wonder, the joy, love with no pain.
I'll stand by your healing, both near and far,
Loving you for everything you are.
