disciple's ear
follower's heart
believer's tongue
words of comfort
for the weary
light in dark places
for stumblers
saving justice
to be upheld
what's not to like

and yet shamed
struck and beaten
insults, spitting
they've gone for me
gone hard, big time
but how to react
like for like, eye for eye
I'd be no better than they
but to rise above it
is it in me
can I find it to
stick to his ways
cleave to his path
hold fast to him
resolute
