My life was a house of cards,
Shaking with the slightest
Whisper of trials.

I tiptoed through the halls,
Wincing every time I felt it
Threaten to collapse.

Through flimsy windows,
I wondered if I had enough
Strength to rebuild.

There was another house
Across the way, but it
Didn’t have walls.

It was transculent and
Shimmering on a rock,
Made only of Faith.
