Backtrack
I have learned to unlearn my native language.
I have felt my mouth fall open, dumb,
glazed eyes. Breath light.
I have slept inside another body.
Bring on this confusion! I smile
and have great gratitude for this suffering.
On the opaque wall of my heart,
on the forward leaning step, twice
against twice, music untold speaks.
I will never know this joy completely.
This is the way I have chased it,
as a dog chases a singing rabbit.
today, I found this from a December 2022 post in my journal....true in this present cycle of eclipse...
