Stumped in a place I call home
Perhaps away is the way to go
Bury the books bury the light
Bury yourself and all your might
Saddened heart, crucial time
Time ticks, the bell chimes

Darkness, darkness all around
Like the light, the switch can’t be found
Drowning, drowning of lack of air
Oxygen surround me but I can’t intake

Though shadows loom and silence screams
Hold tight to fragments of fragile dreams
For even the night must yield to dawn
And every storm will one day be gone
Wrote this during my boards
