I am an astronomer and a lover—
I fell for a star.
But she chose the orbit of another,
Leaving me to watch from afar.

Morpheus, please don’t let me dream of her,
I can't wake to poetry on my pillow again.
My best was never enough to offer,
And my lost proclamations were in vain.
