Like a firm punch to the gut
You do that one thing
That thing
Where you aim for the side
But some invisible force
More commonly known as your ******* self
I’m sorry
I should say “ Very human weakness “
Drags that fist back the centre
And you hit yourself where it hurts

The pain used to be worth the pleasure
The pleasure
Always worth the pain
The pain
Never worth the pleasure
The pleasure
Never worth the pain
Wait
Where was I again?
Who do I apologise to?
Apologies obviously mean nothing to me
Because I accept them
And that’s it
