There’s red and black and blue and grey
Purple, brown, hues, and shades
Yellow, orange, green, and gold
Turquoise if I’m feeling bold
Mulberry, periwinkle, orchid, and slate
Armed with my knowledge
Which I use to create
Tangerine, Marigold, amber, and sage
From my cerebral to the ink on the page
I see fuchsia, and lemon, pumpkin and peach
And I imagine the stars are not out of reach
Sapphire, walnut, hunter, and stone
It’s all of the colors and all of the tones
