When curves and slurs
get in your way
Answers come too slowly

There's not enough time
or ever enough rhyme
to make it go over smoothly

The jokes and the coax
are taking their positions
You have no rights to transition

If you question the change
Or talk of the exchange
You're due for the ultimate inquisition

For your determination
grants you no favor
When you're put on the spot

And you better come up
with an answer
whether you have one or not
