our focus is all wrong
in what we say and do
today's news and emphasis
are falsehoods through and through.

the only truth
our safety net
is found in one
we oft forget.

this poet's words
and best attempt
do not reflect
the passion spent.

the only matters
are of the heart
redeemed and loved
from the start.

the world knows not
a soul so deep
enduring all
in silent speech.

a life, a path
a sacred way
to lead us back
when we go astray,

our everything
we must proclaim
is our mighty
God and King.

Today's focus
we must set straight
and by all means
don't wait
all other news
does not compare
this poet pleads with urgency
do not hesitate to share.
