Gentle whipping sun
lashes the vaporized sea.
Fishes flail in salt
embedding the mem'ry of
ancient pelagic waters.

The dry land crumbles,
in its dust comes tumbling ****—
a serpent slithers through.
Corrosive sands lost to time
invites the traveler to die.
