People say some humans have lifeless eyes
But to me even the dead have a certain light to their eyes
And I think that is the reason we close a dead man's eyes before any ritual
Even when a person is no longer existing in this metaphysical amalgamation of a peice of land we call the earth
Their eyes still seem like they would respond to stimuli
This exact fact haunts me
