For the little lies I’ve been told
I don’t resent it
It kept me safe, sheltered, protected
Now, no walls, no roof, no lies to be seen
Life isn’t such a sweet little thing
Life’s harsh, cold, and unforgiving
Children should be children
But as they grow up they start to learn things
Hurtful words cursed them, making sure they regret living
Life is life
A bunch of experiences
Then you die
