For the First Time
By Morning Star

For the first time,
I see you—
Lying on my pillow,
In the stillness that follows
Being alone.

Your scent,
It lingers deep,
Like a memory folded
In the sheets of sleep.
Your arms—
I feel them
Even in dreams.

For the first time in my life,
It feels true—
A heartbeat echoes
And I know it's you.

Each moment we're apart,
I trace you
In the silence.
Whispers travel
Where light once grew.

I lay my head
Upon your chest,
And hold you close
In quiet rest.

The stars above—
They seem to know,
Aligning gently
In love’s soft glow
Morning Star
