Dec 5
It's called taking
and you excel at it
steal whatever you are given
a smile, an embrace,
a dropped penny, button
or smooth-edged stone
pluck it up.
Then slip back
into the shadows
borrow darkness
and wrap it around your shoulders
like a cloak
you'll never return.
