I am like a bird.
I have a wide open space,
                   range,
                      expanse,
for the adventure that creeps into my soul.
My veins are vacant with the love of exploring,
                               searching,
                                        investigating,
                                                                                                                      the different ways to live.
I have always preferred to live alone, with just myself for company.
I seldom feel lonely,
                                  isolated,
                                                 apart,
                                                           from others.
I am often surveying,
                                 searching,
yearning for beautiful land to build my nest.
However featherless,
                                 wingless,
                                                songless,
I may be, I will never be
                                                                                                         flightless.
(s.w.)
This began as a prompt in my Writer's Craft class, then slowly became a fabulous representation of myself as a person.
