The feeding
The violence has begun
tearing & ripping
away at our flesh.
carnivorous piece,
after piece …
blood upon their lips
The horror
& muffled insatiable cries,
the screaming
hunger & thirst
carried off/ taken away & gorged
At first recognizable
then indistinguishable
Scattered remains
& the smell of
Rot begins
Our Elder dies.
