I wake up
Even before the world does
And bask
Under the full moon's light

I remember how you adore the full moon
How you'd always wish
To have your toes buried in creamy sand
With waves crashing
And Luna's light watching you from the horizon

And I remember
My futile attempt
Of illustrating how much I love you
Through hares and coloured pencils and
a Little Prince scrapbook
To let you know that I love you to the moon
and back (and yes, it holds true until today)

As I watch the moon from where I sit
(in an almost empty, moving train - the sun has not risen yet)
I know, out there, you might be admiring it too
And that's enough comfort for me, for now
To know that we're still under the same sky
You can never be too far.
