What if I told you, in whispered night,
That shadows of longing still dance in light?
In the quiet moments when time stands still,
I find echoes of you, a heart to fill.

Back then, we were dreamers, two souls in flight,
Chasing the stars, lost in our delight.
But seasons have changed, and paths drift apart,
Yet your memory lingers, a flame in my heart.

What if I told you, I wanted you then,
In laughter and silence, in now and again?
A truth woven softly in threads of the past,
A whisper of “what if” that’s bound to last.

So here in the twilight, I stand, ever near,
Carrying wishes wrapped tight in my fear.
What if I told you, in moments divine,
That wanting you now feels like crossing a line?
