Aug 28
i envy the moon —
cycling through nightly
unseen obligation.
subtle change,
until her plenitude
conjures a brief
transfixed adoration
and reflection.
hallowed pardon
knighted at the visor
for earth’s imperfect
praise, and yet,
the tides rise and descend,
lunar resets
and she phases in to greet us
again,
and again.
