Come Night

i just want to sleep

leave me alone

let me weep

i want you gone

but not for good

just until this situation is understood

the night carries the things the day would never dare

the things that it will always fear

so come night come

let me see your glare

for I, I have no fear

so let me sleep

though i don't hope to see

the wickedness in which you keep

but come night come

i will wait for you

silently

as i fall asleep
