I saw him first at the red light,
His phone in his hand and his hat on his head,
Normal and bright, I fell in love.

If I were a male peacock,
I would’ve flashed him,
Strutted on my heels and showed him all my colors.

If I were a male peacock,
I would’ve stopped traffic to prance and dance,
Until he noticed me.

If I were more than just me,
I would ignore every excuse,
And make him see all my colors.

But I’m not, I’m just me.
And the light already turned green;
He’s gone.
And I am not a male peacock.
