Our friends nudge and wink with knowing eyes,
Their hints like birds in sunny skies.
"You and him," they sing in jest,
"There's more than friendship, we attest."

They **** and pry,
With grins and twinkles in their eyes,
"We see the spark, we see the flame,
Deny it all, it's just the same."

We’d laugh it off, just friends, we’d say,
Yet in their words, a truth would stay.
A love that grew in its own way,
Now here we are, we’ve found our way
Funny how other people saw it before us. I guess our friends were right all along and I couldn't be happier about it.
