Your familiarity
Is an illusion to me
I know this
Yet continue to pretend I see
Commonality
But maybe it’s a reality
This thing between you and me
Palpable on my side
Through distance
Space
And silly dreams
I wish you could see
Me
But as it be
I suffer from invisibility
And it’s likely
To be so
Perpetually
But that doesn’t mean
I won’t write you poetry
Which will remain
Eternally
Whether or not
You ever see
