Haunting

He'll haunt

He'll smother me

He'll never give up

He won't let me forget

His smell

Even in my dreams

So familiar that I gag

Tears pool when I catch a whiff

Memories swirl

My hand on his

Kissing in the dark

Taking me to the stars

I left

But he follows

Like a lost puppy

Who bites my heels

He haunts

And I can't leave it

Foggy mirrors

Why still now after so long
