As I gaze upon you, then upon myself,
Contemplating the chasm between us,
Wondering if it's a mere illusion,
Crafted by the naivety of my mind.
Each time our eyes meet, a surge of hope fills my heart,
Yet, my rational mind interjects with caution,
Urging me not to entertain such thoughts.
Here I sit, amidst the swirling uncertainty,
Torn between the possibility of what could be,
And the harsh reality of what may never come to pass.
Am I foolish to harbor dreams of connection,
Or am I simply blind to the truth that lies before us?
With every fleeting moment, my courage wanes,
But deep within, I know I cannot remain silent forever.
For if destiny deems it so, our paths shall converge,
But if not, I shall face the inevitable truth,
Braving the shards of a shattered heart.
Nevertheless, amidst the tumultuous journey,
I hold onto the unwavering belief,
That in the grand tapestry of life,
Love will ultimately emerge victorious. Hopefully 🤞🏾
