In your serenity I walked over rails
Past glistening trains of life
Trains running in the sun
Through the city of names

I lived with your name
To meet a female
Who owned a white dog
Freed from the misery of an island
Brought to the city of names
Upon her lap
Who was a transient
In the city of names

I do live in your affection
I'll be where you want me to
If you want me to, I'll stay

Lap from human silk
We will have been here
The transient was hurt
A wound was on her face
She spoke about her dead husband
Who had taken his own life
The white dog was panting
Among blacktop and cherry blossoms
In the city of names
City of Names
