I am an American poet
As of now
So very few know it
But when I am dead
My poems will be read
In halls of American schools
And when I am assigned
The kids won’t even mind
They will think my poems are so cool
And if this doesn’t happen
I’ll never know
So I’m a future famous poet
Because I believe it will be so
