This is a modern day love story told through rhyme
A story I hope to tell for a very long time
I met a girl and she was sweet
Talking to her made my heart skip a beat
I caught feelings but was too scared to show
But I couldn't hold it in and had to let her know
I wrote her hundreds of poems telling her how I feel
Showing her a love she would know to be real
She didn't want to ruin what we already had
I tried to play cool but deep down I was sad
But I think in my heart she does feel the same
If this ruins our friendship then I'll take the blame
I promise I'll be here till the end of our days
