Embalming fluid and roses
A plastic smile and pressed white dress
Blazing against the burning sun

The lid is lowered
Strong hands pull away
Her support over the ground
Taught green bands assure her soft descent
As she's lulled to rest by the rocking of her bed
And the blaring of the pipe

Young faces gaze on
Old ones weep
Crushed by the weight
Of the loved one left behind
