Psychological torment
is the worst kind of abuse
Some abusers don't even recognise,
they are gaining first prize
It's part of them,
and becomes their mirror then
They make you feel,
like you are a fish in a bowl,
that can't breathe,
and let the bubbles come out whole
They try to make you feel,
like it is you,
that does not have enough,
fish food too
They torment your mind,
with opportunities that are not kind
You may ask for explanations,
they give a burst,
so you hunger and thirst
In-between they talk as if
everything is calm and a dream,
but if you sit back and observe,
you will notice the torment curve
It is subtle,
but inside your feelings,
will feel like bare knuckle
They pretend to care,
so they can show they are being fair
Some may not even know,
that their care,
does not equate,
to what most humans wear
However they would never notice,
if you were not here
Maybe for a brief moment a flash of care
For those who take a stand and say,
I have tried anyway,
a drip line will be installed,
just to soak your arterial cord
