We're nice and polite
We promise not to fight
Just "tell you about the role"
And peek into your soul
See if you're a good fit
See if you give a ****
Sometime the questions reveal
What's the real hidden deal

In the end it's just a process
And I must confess
It's awfully tiring
To keep revealling
All I want to do is lie
Back in my bed and cry
But there's no time for that
All I can do is get off the mat

Search and apply once more
And ignore that inside I'm sore
Put on a brave, smiling, enthusiastic face
And reveal my soul again with grace
Not responding to "the other candidates more suitable" trite
And "after careful consideration" ****
Knowing that many will provide no details
A solo, lonely dance prevails
They say you should dance like no ones watching
But this dance is soul destroying
Interview, job searching
