A Friend's Advice
People of the night,
cowards of the day.
No matter who you are,
someone makes it okay.
Her deep dark past,
her scarry new future.
No matter what,
he will teach her:
"There are ups and downs,
wrongs and rights.
But I'm here for you,
to make it alright."
He speaks in song,
his words medolic and kind.
He's probably the best friend,
she will ever find.
"I don't have much,
to give you in turn.
But I'll give you my heart,
and I'll give you my word.
I'll be there for you,
I'll be your friend.
I'll stay with you,
till the very end."
He smiled big,
looked in her eyes.
It was nice to have,
someone to confide.
She reached up high,
wrapped her arms around him.
A friend who listens,
and a great guy within.
