Of Lions and Tigers: Part 2 - By Moonlight and Starlight

Is he burning

Or is he sleeping

The tree is gently

Weeping

For the lion

Comes back

Today

It was painted

In the stars

The lion and the tree

Never together

Never forever

Broken by

The wind

The lion won't help

The tree won't breathe

For the softness

Has turned to scale

The treeStill sings

By his lake

But the lion

Is now

A snake

Slippery comfort

He starts to hiss

The tree doesn't

Understand

This new found bliss

Lots of sharpness

Lots of noise

The snake now

Understands

The softness

Of a lion

Tiger moving onward

In

Snake moving backward

Out

Tree singing by the lake

Paddling in water

Shallow

Not for the heart

Not for her

Hot for the softness

Of tiger's fur

It was painted

In the stars

The tiger and

The tree

Together forever

Perfect harmony
