If I could
If I could sort out my thoughts
Like puzzle pieces on the floor
Over here go the needs and there the wants
Then maybe I could end the internal war
If I could organize my mind
Like I would a messy kitchen drawer
Maybe then I could find
What is really worth fighting for
If I could change my cognition
And see what is in store
Maybe I'd illuminate my mission
And find new paths to explore
If I could alter my own perception
Strip it down to its core
Then I could see through my minds deception
Maybe I wouldn't be afraid anymore
