Can you hear my heart's cry across the sea of stars?
Can you still hear it though I'm miles from where you are?
Do you share the tears of loss and pain,
And still believe that sun will follow after rain?
Watch the moon-light dance and shine
Whatever comes, I am yours and you are mine
I'm trying to live what is pure and right
To show compassion to all and walk in the light
And still my path is riddled with lies and hurt and shame
The way is dark; filled with anger, deceit, and blame
I collapse and beat the ground
I scream, but hear no sound

Can you hear my heart's cry across the sea of stars?
Can you still hear it though I'm miles from where you are?
Can you hear me? Are you listening? Do you even care?
I beg you: show me something! Let me know you're still there!

The words somehow reached God's ears
Moved with compassion he sent an angel to dry my tears.
"Come now, be not afraid" the angel said and helped me to stand
"Dark is the way, the path; unclear, and you do not understand
But do not give up, do not lose hope: the most priceless of all treasure
All the silver and gold and riches could not begin to measure
The treasure you are. What great things God has in store for you!
Plans to prosper and bless and keep you every single day,
And when things are bad or good, call him up and pray.
Any day, time, or weather; he is always fee to talk,
Every step, every breath, every heartbeat; he is beside you as you walk.
Put your worries, problems, and fears at the base of the cross
Give Him control and watch him turn gain from what once was loss.
Trust and rely on the Lord when life is dark and scary,
And you will see that in His loving arms, you he will carry.

He loves you more than anything you could ever know;
You are a beacon of light and hope for many. Shine like the sun and may His love overflow!
