HUMBLENESS, THE QUIET VIRTUE
Who am l to think l'm better
than the others who are normal?
Do l ken a bit more knowledge
or l fake l have this honour?

Those who are distinguished people
have no time to waste on nonsense.
They invest their time in labour
as they want to use their talents.

Don't be haughty, bell, as you know
Your inside is wholly empty.
Bullion can't fulfill your purpose
as its value is so heavy.

Help me, Lord, to be quite humble.
Bells have nothing save their shouting.
Greatest men employ their silence;
when they talk, all run to listen.
